No Sleep & Baby Stuff

Well I only have 4 more weeks until my due date... Thank goodness! Getting very uncomfortable sleeping and just plain doing everything is uncomfortable. I'm hoping he'll come a week or so early, but probably by me hoping that he'll stay in there as long as possible :P

Last week at the Dr's Office I was having my weekly Non-Stress Test (NST) when the little guy got hiccups! It was very cute so I snuck a few minutes of video on my phone. They're a little hard to see from my point-of-view but you can definitely hear them on the monitor and maybe spot a few movements if you pay attention.




River is coming with me to the Dr's Office today for my NST and check-up with the Dr. I always like it better when he comes along, as it makes me feel better just having him around :D And even better, we're going to go see 'How to Train Your Dragon' in 3D afterwards, so its kind of like a date night too! YAY!

Getting Outside & Warmer Weather

Yay for warmer weather and all the snow melting! It has been so beautiful outside that it feels less of a chore to go out and get my walking done :D

School is about halfway through the semester, though I have been working from home a lot as the bigger I get the harder it seems for me to motivate myself to move. Hence the reason I have at least made myself go for a walk almost everyday, whether it be outside (which currently is so nice that I love doing it) or at the indoor track on campus (which is nicer if it's cold outside or later at night).

I am just getting over a pretty nasty chest cold but unfortunately passed it onto River, who went to the Dr. because of it. His asthma makes it much more concerning for sicknesses that move to his chest and affect his breathing, but he is now on medication so hopefully he will get feeling better soon :/

I was thinking about how about a year ago, the Portrait Studio guys and gals all got together and had an awesome party, which of course made me miss those who no longer work with us and moved away. I am secretly hoping that we can plan another party/get together before the baby's due date so I can see the gals and have some more fun! We shall see...

Well I am off to finish drying my hair and then going for my walk. I have a breast-feeding class later so we'll see how that goes :P Until next time!

Beginning of the End & New Beginnings

It is officially the beginning of the end of my last semester as an undergraduate student at UWEC! I am super excited for this year, 2010, as many exciting things are going to be happening in my life and the lives of those around me. I know many others who will be getting married throughout the year, a few others who are also having children this year, and then of course all my exciting stuff that will be happening as well (including GRADUATION!).

My short term goals would be completing the semester with a little bit of grace, if that's at all possible to do @ 9 months pregnant. Having the baby problem free and healthy is another one that I would like :P Also, concentrating more on my free-lance portrait photography and getting the equipment I need in order to pick that up some more.

Long term goals are to find a grad-school with a graphic design degree, get a scholarship or internship or teaching assistant funding of some sort to help pay my way through that schooling, then possibly (after getting my MFA) teach graphic design at the college level...

Tons of possibilities await me, just organizing and finding them are the key! I shall try to keep regular updates this semester as I'm sure I'll want to vent/share whats going on. Also, on a side-note, Jordan and I are considering a possible move BEFORE the baby is born as we desperately need our own washer/dryer!

Long Semester & New Beginnings

Well, its finals time again here in the E.C. area and I got two of my harder tests out of the way right away! So yay! I forgot a lot of other things while worrying about those two tests... but I'm not gonna think about that too much :P

Good news is that I can now share my news, that I never mentioned earlier:
River and I are having a baby boy in May of 2010... PLUS we're going to be getting married in October of 2010. I put up a picture of our son yawning in the womb... He's already making mom sigh with adoration.

Not much happening this holiday season, just River and I hanging around for Christmas and both of us working. I plan on doing not much of anything over winter break, as this semester was very hard... in many ways.

I'm going to go take a nap but I'll hopefully update a little more now that I will have some more free time, at least over the holidays.

Apparently Busy

Well... looks like I've neglected my personal blog again... big suprise :P Nothing really new, just been working a lot the past few months, summer went by fast and I have news that I'm not ready to share with the world just quite yet, but check back in a month or so for an update on that subject.

School starts up again in 2 days, which is unexciting in the fact that it is school plus I won't be able to work as much (aka not bringing in as much moo-lah). I'm ready though and have decided that I might try to graduate this semester, if it's not too late to apply. If I do that though, I'll only have the photography major and not the graphic design one.... so nothing is official or decided at this point, just speculations and thoughts.

My sister was just here today, and we went shopping at the MoA which was fun, but I'm exhausted.

Finals & Film

Well it is here at last, and at the moment I have a headache from all the work I just completed, turned in, critiqued, viewed, and died over...
Starting to feel the weight of the world on my shoulders, so its nice timing that summer and three months of break is here (FINALLY). Hoping to get a lot of hours at work, and my boss said that I would, so we shall see (I do have my doubts as she's said that to me before and it never happened). Anyone know of a photography/graphic design internship in EC?!

Having my video class final project shown in a viewing on Thursday 5/7 @ 7:30pm in Haas recital hall with all my other classmates work. Come if you can!

Last Saturday, everyone from work got together and had a good BBQ and party! A few girls who've been working with us a long time are graduating and leaving.... *sniffle* but it was a great time and I'm sure they'll want to come back to party with us all again : P

I'm actually also looking forward to summer for a more nerdy (sad) reason.... so I can play World of Warcraft a bit more regularly to get better gear and hang with some guildies! Its nice because we just discovered that we're able to do OS-10 man efficiently with only 2 or 3 wipes on the end boss! YAY!

Boom Boom Pow!

Time seems to be flying by as I am nearing the end of this spring semester. Suddenly I am realizing how much work I actually have to do within' the next 2.5 weeks! YIKES!

Finally the weather is nice, though our valley could definitely use some moisture, as it is sooooo very dry.

Easter was a nice escape from Eau Claire, as I went home to La Crosse and visited with the family. Helped out at the cabin in Stoddard, cleaning up, fixing stuff, etc... Hannah and I had some fun and seem to be bonding more and more (which I love, and hopefully she does too)!

Finally learned at least a little something in Adobe Flash, though its very basic and I need more time to play with all the buttons and whatnot. I am thinking of getting a How To book for Flash, as there is not a flash class offered for the graphic design major (which is very stupid and puts those of us who know nothing about Flash at a disadvantage).
